Fellow anglers,

During our Top-6 awards presentation, we encountered a few inconsistencies with the electronic total team weights.  We stopped the awards process and confirmed the "official" weights.  In the Federation the only official  weight is the one on the weigh-in slip.  Thus, we used the slips and confirmed that the team that had a concern was right.  At that point the same process was used to check all the weights.

As we understand, the root of the problem within the program was investigated today, identified and repaired. 

We also reviewed and recompiled the weights for both Saturday and Sunday using the signed weigh-in slips.  These, slips are our official record and kept for this purpose.    I used them to build an Excel spreadsheet and compared it to the results that we called out at the final awards.  We are pleased to announce that based on our confirmation of results that there were no differences that would effect either the cash or trophy pay out.

The official total weight in the table below is in pounds and ounces.

We would like to congratulate the North Central Club as our Champions for 2003.

We also would like to thank all the volunteers that helped run our boat checks, take-offs, weigh-ins, check-ins, computer, setup and tear down.  We could not exist without all your help. 

If you are close to Stillwater Marine, please stop and thank Joe and Sean for all their support.

If you have any questions please let me know, We will ask our web-master to amend the standings posted on the web site and replace them with these.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this confusion may have caused.  However, we can not risk the integrity of our organization and officers, therefore, it is absolutely, mandatory  that once the error was discovered it had to investigated and fixed. 

We want to thank the 18 clubs that participated and want all of you to know that we are always looking to improve and that we wished the awards presentation had went smoother.
