Minutes of the Meeting – March 1, 2007

 

  • 7:30pm – Meeting was called to order by president John Owens.

 

  • March 11th will be our first tournament of the year. We will be launching and weighing at the New Mannford ramp. Motions for time of the tournament were made for 7:15am – 3:00 pm. Motion was seconded, and voted upon. We will meet at Albertson’s in Bartlesville at 5:15am and leave by 5:30am. All participants were asked to contact their respective partners ahead of time to make arrangements.

 

  • There were many new members which showed up to this meeting. John asked for introductions of not only new members but all members so that the new members could acquaint themselves with existing members. Names, time with club, little antidotes were spoke by all.

 

  • An overview of the club was given by John Owens, including fishing format, tournament draw information, tournament points, etc.

 

  • Old business was conducted which included handing out trophies which had not been picked up at the banquet or last months meeting.

 

  • John Owens thanked those who took time to participate at The Claremore – Green Country Hunt, Fish and Tackle Show Kasting Kids event. We had somewhere around 25 youth which participated during the 3 ˝ hour event.

 

  • Discussion on the Federation Nation qualifiers was stated by John Owens. Those who wanted to fish these three qualifier events had to have entry in by March 1, 2007.

 

  • Al Nelson and Jack White conducted the draw for the Keystone tournament with 19 boaters and 15 non-boaters signed up. Chet Burrows and Matt Morrison signed up with Guest/Self and Mark Lamborn and Chris Roberts drew out Self.

 

  • The April tournament will be at Sardis. It is not too soon to get your reservations. We will not be launching at Potato Hills this year as there is another tournament going out of that ramp (approximately 60 boats). So, we will be launching out of Sardis Cove.

 

  • Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm. The members of the teams which will be fishing the Bass Club World Championship in April at Milford Lake remained for discussions concerning the logistics of who will be going, alternate, who will be boater/non-boater, and the team drawing. A decision was made on lodging also.
